Technical Forestry Engineer and Higher Forestry Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and Graduate in Environmental Sciences from the National University of Distance Education (UNED). Among the advanced courses carried out, the University Specialist in Environmental Education by the UNESCO Chair of Environmental Education at the UNED can be mentioned.
She has developed her professional career, both in the public and private spheres, in the fields of forestry engineering, education and gardening for more than thirty years.
“As coordinator of the courses and workshops of the “Buztinaga project” related to the protection of nature, environmental education and knowledge of the environment of the Baztán Valley; “I will be happy to carry out activities of different themes, durations and typologies, always adapted to the characteristics of the possible participants, including children and the local population.”
So, my project for The Buztinaga Association is:
Guided tours around Buztinaga, to learn about the flora, fauna and landscapes, with the option of collecting samples for analysis, preparing herbariums, mycological use, etc. This activity can be complemented with equestrian and bicycle routes, rock climbing, nature survival courses, and others.
Screening of films and documentaries, with subsequent discussion
Conferences and seminars, given by prestigious professionals in the sector.
Talks and meetings with the local rural population to transmit knowledge about traditional activities related to the use of natural resources and the customs of the land.
Thematic workshops on flora, fauna observation, mycology, waste recycling, domestic gardens, forest management.
Photography, painting or other arts contests on the respectful use of natural resources or the landscapes of the Baztán Valley.
Creation of the Award for the most respectful local/regional initiative or practice with the natural resources of the area.
