In his first approach to the film industry he worked as a second assistant and focus puller in films and commercials (1986-1990).

He immediately after joined the American Film Institute in Los Angeles (1990-1992), where he graduated with a Master’s Degree in Cinematography, with a Fulbright scholarship.

In Europe and the United States he has worked as director of photography, camera or electric on five feature films, twenty-five short films, most of them awarded at different international festivals, including some of the best photographic mentions and also nominations and awards from the Spanish Film Academy. . He has been Director of Photography in more than two thousand international advertisements and more than twenty music videos. Recently, he has also shot two features for MINI in Virtual Realit 360 stereoscopic 3D.

Pacho Alcaine is an active member of the Spanish Association of Authors of Cinematographic Photographic Works.

Professionally he has worked for the worlds of motorsports, fashion and beauty, special effects, movies…. With clients such as Banco Sabadell, El Corte Inglés, Repsol, Ikea, Mazda, Loewe, Multiópticas, Burguer King, Fanta and a long etcetera. Directors he has worked with:

Proposal:

Investigate, debate and delve into audiovisual concepts applied to all types of image narratives.

Establish a meeting place to explore how the use of the latest technologies, as well as old ones, go hand in hand as tools in creative processes.

Study and comment on the interaction with other artistic media, from conception to new media of dissemination.

Analyze the way in which emotions, creative processes and applied narrative concepts are used.

Organize courses, seminars, meetings and colloquiums to address all these topics and include outstanding people in different areas.
