It is a circular route of about 7 kilometers, of medium difficulty, that can be done in about 2 and a half hours. In addition, you can take advantage of it to take a bath in the cold waters of the reservoirs.
Rivers of the Baztán Valley
The main river of the Baztán valley is the Bidasoa, which originates in the town of Erratzu, where the Izpegui and Iztauz regattas converge. As it travels through the valley, it is called the Baztán River and forms the natural border between Spain and France for about 10 kilometers. The Bidasoa River is a trout and salmon river, which offers the possibility of practicing sport fishing with a permit. You can also do canoeing, rafting or kayaking in some of its sections, especially in spring, when the flow is higher.

Baztán Valley Mountains

- Mount Gorramendi, which at 1077 meters is the highest in the valley. - Mount Atxuria, which with its 756 meters is the most emblematic of the valley. From its summit you can see the Baztán valley, the Cinco Villas valley, the Malerreka valley, the Bortziriak valley and the French Pyrenees. You can climb the mountain from the town of Urdax, along a path of about 6 kilometers, of medium-high difficulty, which can be done in about 2 and a half hours.
Bertiz Manor
He Bertiz Manor It is a natural park located in the town of Oieregi, which occupies an area of more than 2000 hectares. It is one of the most unique and best preserved forests in Navarra, with a great variety of plant and animal species. The Señorío de Bertiz also has a centenary botanical garden.
